International activities

The department is engaged in international activities and participates in organizing and holding of international scientific and practical conferences, which are attended by scientists from such countries as Belarus, Israel, Sweden, Moldova, Germany, Tajikistan, the Czech Republic, etc.
 The teachers of the department attended trainings and conducted seminars (participation in the British Council project «English for Universities»): «Frameworks for activities and tasks», «CiVELT: Essentials», «CiVELT: Language of ESP», «The language of ESP: lexis and vocabulary», «Authentic materials for ESP classroom», «Materials in ESP: adapting and evaluating the given coursebook», «The differences between ESP and EGP». The Pearson English Language Forum, New Generation Education and International Experience in Monitoring Foreign Language Teaching were also attended.
The teachers of the department take part in the work of the international scientific organizations:
-TESOL Ukraine (Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages),
– BESIG (Business English Scientific Interest Group),
– IATEFL International,
– IATEFL Ukrainian branch (Supported by British Council Ukraine),
– British Council Project «English for Universities».
The department holds The Annual International Student Conference «Ukrainian and foreign science: yesterday, today, tomorrow».
Also, the department participated in organizing and holding of the international scientific-practical conference «Modern trends and innovations in teaching foreign languages». As part of the English for Universities project, the KPI: English for Universities community was created, which included ESP teachers and EMI teachers, and lecturers.
The department continues to work on expanding existing ways of cooperation with the universities participating in the academic mobility program ERASMUS +.
