Linguistic Mediation for Higher Education Language Instructors and Students

We are delighted to invite you to the Professional Development Forum titled “Linguistic Mediation for Higher Education Language Instructors and Students.” This event aims to explore the evolving role of mediation in language education, both across different languages and within the same language, a topic that has garnered significant attention in recent years.
The forum is hosted by the Faculty of Linguistics at Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, with the support of the European Civil Society Platform for Multilingualism (ECSPM). It will serve as a platform for educators and researchers to examine mediation as an essential social practice in today’s digital world, where rapid knowledge acquisition and the exchange of information are pivotal to economic, political, educational, and cultural activities across national, linguistic, and cultural boundaries.
We are honored to feature a distinguished panel of speakers, including:
– Professor Emerita Bessie Dendrinos, President of ECSPM
– Professor Giacomo Folinazzo
– Professor Enrica Piccardo
– Johann Fischer, Director of ZESS
– Maria Stathopoulou

Looking forward to your participation in what promises to be an engaging and insightful event, fostering dialogue and collaboration in the field of linguistic mediation.
