The Department of Mathematical Modeling and Data Analysis team of the Institute of Physics and Technology – NTUU-KPI-IPT-4 – entered the semifinals of the SEERC-202, having the opportunity to compete for the student championship in programming in Southeast Europe. The team consists of IPT students Artem Zakharenko, Heorhii Bilostenko and Illia Ilin.
This year, 11 teams from the Northern region will take part in the competition. Three teams represent Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, while 6 universities represent Ukraine. However, there may be up to 65 teams representing Ukraine.
Vinnytsia National Technical University (VNTU), with support of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the All-Ukrainian Charitable Foundation “Association for Support and Development of Information Technologies” (“APRIT”) and the AM-SOFT group of companies, initiated the All-Ukrainian Collegiate Programming Contest.
VNTU has been holding the open final of the All-Ukrainian Collegiate Programming Contest for 13 years according to the rules of the ACM-ICPC international competition. The number of participants in the first competition stage has grown from 68 teams in 2001 to more than 650 teams today. In 2010, the ICPC Executive Committee of the ACM World Finals awarded the All-Ukrainian Collegiate Programming Contest the status of the semifinal of the ACM-ICPC World Finals which takes place in Southeast Europe.
