Two new associated partners from Ukraine join the ENHANCE Alliance

23.03.2022 Two new associated partners from Ukraine join the ENHANCE Alliance

ENHANCE Alliance is pleased to welcome two new associated partners: Igor Sikorsky National Technical University of Ukraine in Kyiv and Lviv Polytechnic National University (Ukraine). Both institutions will join our highly interdisciplinary network of partners from academia, industry, policy-making and society.

ENHANCE aims for a sustainable transformation of our societies through teaching and research. It is based on European Values. It is therefore of great importance to the Alliance to support those European universities whose activities are threatened by war. We want to build a partnership which will build bridges even beyond the current difficult situation and create opportunities in research and teaching in the years to come.

Professor Zaremba, Rector of the Warsaw University of Technology (ENHANCE member university) explained: “We have had very fruitful collaborations in the past and we wish to strengthen our bond with both universities in these difficult times”. Increased collaborative efforts will provide students and staff of both universities with mobility opportunities at the seven member universities of ENHANCE.

Professor Anne Borg, Rector of the Norwegian University of Science and Technology and the Chair of the ENHANCE Board of Directors said: “ENHANCE is not only an Alliance of seven universities that share an aspiration to promote excellence in education and research, it is also an Alliance which takes its responsibility for the European society seriously”.
