The All-Ukrainian newspaper for education, academic and research workers “Svit” arrived at the age of quarter-century last year. It was founded by the Ministry of Education and Science and the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine in April 1997.
Since April 2021, the founder of the publication is the Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, which allowed “Svit” to improve its chances, acquire a new look and content, and become a noticeable phenomenon in the scientific and educational environment.
The main topics of the newspaper are higher education and science, and pride of place on its pages goes to publications on important topics and problems of scientific life, research, and prospects for the science development.
The number of views of each issue usually exceeds one hundred thousand.
According to statistics, the most active newspaper audience is aged 35–44, followed by 45–54. And over the last year, the category of readers aged 25–34 took third place. So, the scientific “Svit” finds its way to young people, their minds, interests and preferences.
The editorial board of “Svit” is headed by the president of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, academician A.G. Zahorodniy, and the board includes M. Zgurovsky, V.G. Kremen, Ya.S. Yatskiv and other well-known Ukrainian scientists.
