KPI student presented her startup in Rome

This year’s educational program “Seeds for the Future”, which took place in Rome from July 1 to 5, brought together 150 students from 23 countries.

Five of the most talented students from five leading Ukrainian universities were shortlisted. Among them is Anastasia Sydorenko, a student of the Faculty of Radio Engineering, majoring in electronic communications and radio engineering. The KPI student was previously selected by the expert jury of this year’s national selection.

“I didn’t expect to be selected, but of course I was very happy when I was! What I liked most about the event was the speakers and the community. There was a lot of interesting and new information for me.
Our team presented a smart trash can startup. The idea is not new, but we have improved it and added new important details,” says Anastasia.

The girl is convinced that such a bin will help solve the problem of waste disposal, as the device will sort waste independently, using artificial intelligence.

The Seeds for the Future international educational program is organized by Huawei, attracting talented young people from all over the world to deepen their knowledge of digital innovation.

Ukraine has been an active participant since 2016. The most proactive and persistent students receive prizes, certificates of completion of courses, and can take a paid internship at Huawei Ukraine!
