Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute is the only higher education institution at the conference “Unite, improve, protect” on innovative unmanned technologies for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which was attended by leading developers, manufacturers, representatives of combat brigades, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the Ministry of Defense to identify the most relevant and effective unmanned technologies.

“Today’s war is a technological war, so we are looking for an advantage in speed and innovation. This allows us to perform combat missions, reduce our losses and withstand a more powerful system. In this process, our scientific community plays an important role, in particular, cooperation with Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, which has great potential,” said Andriy Lebedenko, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Colonel.

The cooperation of Kyiv Polytechnic with government agencies, defense industry enterprises and the military is an important step in the development of Ukraine’s modern technological base.

“KPI, as a university and as a center that can engage in R&D development and even small-scale production, is currently actively working on three main tracks: refinement, drone swarm management, and visual navigation in the context of electronic warfare. All of them are extremely needed today at the front,” said Sergiy Stirenko, Vice-Rector for Research at Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute.
