On 26 January 2024, the National Technical University of Ukraine “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute” held a ceremony to award master’s degrees to foreign students.
The ceremony was attended by 40 graduates from China, France and Canada. Three of them attended in person, while the rest were able to join online. The heads of the faculties of FICS, FMM, FSL, FAM, FCT and the educational and research institutes – Paton IMSW, IESEM, IAT – who made an incredible contribution to the education of these students, could not miss this event.
This graduation is of historical significance for the educational community, as today the first students who were not afraid and entered the university in the midst of hostilities were awarded diplomas in the autumn of 2022.
The Centre for International Education “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute” expresses its gratitude to the students for their trust and faith in us in such a difficult period.
“Our students are our greatest motivation. We are proud that despite the war, we were able to organize the educational process and train highly qualified specialists, adhering to all European standards of quality of higher education. We know that our students trust us and recommend us to their friends around the world, so we cannot let them down,” said Sergiі Maulik, Head of the Centre for International Education.
These graduates have gone through a thorny path and overcame all the hardships on their way to the honorary title of masters of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, one of the best and most advanced technical universities in Europe. Four students were awarded to receive diplomas with honors.
During the ceremony, several students expressed a desire to deliver their graduation speeches and thank the faculties and university staff. The graduates shared their feelings and learning experiences.
Graduates of previous years also came to support the masters. It is incredibly valuable that it was within the walls of the university that students were able to find true friends and build such a friendly international community where everyone supports each other.
At the end of the ceremony, the graduates took memorable photos with the administration and deans of the faculties.
This day is now history. The Centre for International Education will continue to work to not only meet but exceed the expectations of international students.
